Île du Grand Ribaud (Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 50-150 f/2.8, colors tweaked) Île du Grand Ribaud

This small island is located near Giens (Var), France. It was bought by Pr. Charles Richet (Nobel prize in Physiology 1913). The island was used to breed medusae and venomous fishes for his research; kangaroos were also introduced there but did not acclimate well. The island is now managed by Richet's heirs.
